Group Research Presentation and Rubric

For this project the class will be divided into groups. There will be two days to research and prepare a
presentation on a topic that will be assigned to each group. An in depth analysis of the assigned topic is
expected. The presentation must make a clear argument about all positions taken in the project. Adequate data
and examples must be given to support all positions. A well done presentation will be well organized and
clearly structured.
Each group will also be scored on presentation. Students should speak loudly and clearly enough that it
can be heard by all members of the class. Some sort of illustration should be used to support the presentation.
Students will be given discretion in what type of illustration is used.
Participation is required from ALL members of the team. To achieve full points for participation, each
team member must be part of the presentation. Each member will be evaluated on participation and cooperation
during the preparation phase of the project as well as the presentation. Individuals should be given specific roles
to accomplish in the compilation of the presentation. The class will also participate in question and answer
session at the end of each presentation. All students also will be expected to give their classmates their attention
during all presentations. Please be respectful of your classmates.
This presentation will count as a test grade so it is important that all team members give a maximum
effort in this project. Good luck, and I look forward to seeing the work that you produce.
