The picture is of a bunch of snowakes that have landed calmly in a body of
water.
The meaning or theme of this photo is calmness and beauty. A snowake is
extremely delicate, and being able to see the beauty of how such a delicate
thing could rest so easy on a bed of water really strikes me as interesting.
The snowake resting on the body of water is a symbol of peace and
beauty.
I like this picture because of how beautiful it is. The beauty is what makes
it so poetic. Looking at this photo, it reminds me of my time in Tahoe, and
brings back extremely fond memories and feelings. This, in turn, calms
me, and makes me feel delighted.

The painting is of a lion, staring, almost glaring, strongly into the distance.
The meaning of this painting is strength. A lion is consistently used as a
symbol for strength and power in TV shows, books, and movies, and this
painting does the very same.
The lion is a symbol of strength, its stern expression is a symbol
for experience and knowledge, and the staring into the distance is
a symbol for patience and waiting.
I like this painting just because of how intense it is. The raw power
emanating from the lion's glare gives the painting a sort of power that
feeds into the viewer, which is why it is poetic. I feel that the artist did a
very good job in portraying the many di!erent expressions and symbols in
the painting.
