Code of practice

Code of practice applies to advertisements, magazines brochures leaflets etc.


It also applies to the cinema in which age rating you put on the films

It does not apply to broadcast advertisements

What are the central principles of the code?
The principles of this code is for it to be legal, decent, honest and truthful
All communications marketing should be reasonable for their company
What are the basic rules of compliance for the code?

Marketing communications should reflect the spirit
Must be prepared
Must comply with the general rules of the business
No marketing communication should bring into disrupt


List all the different sections of advertising which the code covers
Recognition of marketing communications
Misleading advertisements
Harm and offence
Children
Privacy
Political advertisements

Code of children in advertisements

Must not encourage to go strange place or talk to strangers
Children must not be shown in hazardous places
Children must not be shown with harmful substances
Must not copy practices that could be unsafe to the child.
Code of harm and offence
Must not contain things that would seriously offended or cause a serious offence to people.
