Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Luke 9:24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his
life for my sake, the same shall save it.
Luke 9:25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose
himself, or be cast away?
Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall
the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his
Father's, and of the holy angels.
Luke 9:51 And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be
received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,
Luke 9:52 And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a
village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.
Luke 9:53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would
go to Jerusalem.
Luke 9:54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt
thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even
as Elias did?
Luke 9:55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner
of spirit ye are of.
Luke 9:56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save
them. And they went to another village.
John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go
in and out, and find pasture.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am
come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the
sheep.
