OF THE DIASPORAS SCIENTIFIC AND
ANALYTICAL POTENTIAL

Resume

In the view of the sizable Armenian scientific/analytical community


abroad and centers for Armenian studies in foreign countries, the intellectual potential of diaspora can be examined at two levels: individual and institutional. A coordinated interaction and strengthening the ties at both
levels with Armenias scientific/analytical community, think-tanks and
academic structures could have a major significance for increasing the Armenian intellectual potential and bringing it to the service of the national
interests.
In scientific/analytical field Homeland-Diaspora cooperation requires
clarification of partnership formats and research topics. Partnering formats
may include contracts for individual and joint research, various forms of
meetings and discussions. As for research topics, along with cognitive and
advocacy-focused research, applied studies in such key areas as the Armenian Question, lifting the blockade of the RoA and NKR, Karabakh problem, development strategies for Armenia can be included.
