Nick Beddington: Bom in Kamloops, B.C. 17 years ago, Nick has
resided in Barriere for the past 16 years. He loves acting and any
sort of sports. With one minor play under his belt a number of
years ago, Nick is looking forward to his upcoming performance
with the Thompson Valley Players.
Stuart Caulfield: Originally from Northem Ireland, Stuart came to
Barriere in July, 2002 with his wife Charlotte who hails from New
Zealand. A wall and floor tiler by trade, he always enjoys a new
challenge and is now working as the hired hand for the local
Mitchell Cattle Company. He first treaded the boards in a
production of Hello Dolly with the Portrush Music Society in 1988
and went on to perform in five more productions over the next
eight years.
Darby Ewashina: A 14-year-old Barrierite who's future aspirations
include a career in acting, Darby is currently involved with her high
school drama class. Previous experiences include a performance in
a school production of ‘Up on a Rooftop’ and improv work with
River Magic Productions in Kamloops. Darby also enjoys horseback
tiding and snowboarding .
Tracy Mason: Tracy has been involved with the Thompson Valley
Players for the last four years, starting out as a volunteer Gopher,
moving on to producing the group's 2002 presentation of
“Laundry and Bourbon”. In her spare time Tracy can be found at
the elementary school where she lends a hand with her son’s
kindergarten class. Tracy attended the United College of the
Caribou to eam her degree in Early Childhood Education, and can
now usually be found with her son and a flock of his friends.
The Chiropodist
Logan Blohm: Originally from Bamiere, Logan spent ten years in
Calgary and six years in Golden before retuming and achieving his
graduation at Barriere Secondary School. Although his acting
career has been limited to small productions put on in high school
drama classes he has always been interested in acting. The
Chiropodist will be Logan's first production out of school. Logan
stepped into the production on short notice - for this he is
thanked and considered a hero.
Amanda Jonasson: Amanda has been involved in theater for
some time. In high school she began by playing the orphan
‘Pepper’ in a spring production. Since then, she worked in
Barkerville, BC portraying a heritage character, as well as taking
on a Director's position with the Thompson Valley Players. Aside
from Amanda's theatrical contributions over the years, she is also
a star on the curling rink, leading her team to a gold medal at the
BC Winter games. In the fall Amanda will be attending UCC hoping
to achieve a degree in Business management
Mickey Kinloch: Currently residing in Darfield, B.C. Mickey came to
the area in 1947. In 1948 he enrolled at Barriere High School with
29 other students. Mickey had some limited experience in two or
three presentations with the Darfield Players amateur theater
group who started in 1949/50. Mickey has worked on ranches,
driven logging trucks and school buses, had three separate sea
adventures, got mamied, raised two kids, and ranched in Darfield
for 30 years. He is currently retired and enjoying his association
with the Thompson Valley Players

Director's Notes
Doctors, over the years, have been important in our lives. These two medical wizards, that you will meet tonight, are not typical
(no doctor was hurt during the rehearsing of these plays).
The first gentleman (using the term gentleman is risky) is a foot doctor more interested in pressing the female form than
diagnosis in the problem foot. Women today are very resourceful when dealing with the male ego; watch the antics as the nurse
and “Goldie” take the Chiropodist on a merry chase. The doctor definitely gets his ego denied.
The second gentleman is searching his soul for the cure to the human malady. His methods are full of mystical mumbo jumbo
but the end result will boggle the mind. The Psychiatrist is definitely not in!
Directing this group of actors has been such a treat. The dedication of all involved has made my job so easy. Barriere has a
fine group of thespians and these two comedies will confirm your faith in this wonderful group.
| would like to thank Anna Schlingermann for asking me to direct this year
Sit back and enjoy!
