Dear Dr. James Davis,
I am interested in applying for the Pre-Kindergarten Classroom Aide position at the early childhood
center. I am currently in the Education and Training program at McKinney High School. Through this
program I am able to go to Lawson four days out of the week and work hands on with the children
teaching lessons, working one on one with the students, and helping them in any other way I can so they
can achieve their maximum potential. I have always wanted to be a preschool teacher and would love to
start my process as an aide that the early childhood center.
So far in my years of experience working with children I have done many things including babysitting,
nannying, volunteering at my church nursery, and working in a Kindergarten and Pre-K classroom
through the education and training program. I have encountered many different situations with students
and have worked through solving them. While at the two schools that I have worked at I have taught
many lessons over the topics of symmetry, construction, fairytales and many more. The experience of
teaching in a classroom has also taught me a lot about helping children individually. The many different
settings in which I have been able to work with children has informed me a lot about handling situations
involving younger kids as well as how to work well students in a larger group setting.
After further looking into Lawson and McKinney ISD I have really come to like this school and what its
mission is for all of their students. I really enjoy the fact that they involve the community and families of
the children to get them more involved in learning and to hopefully keep them encouraged so they will
never want to stop learning. One of my own goals to have once I do become a teacher and also as an aide
is to ensure that every student reaches their highest potential because everyone deserves an equal chance
at a good education no matter what.
I have a true passion of working with children and would be overjoyed if you would consider me for this
