During many times I have been thinking about what I would change in my

hometown if I had the chance, without doubt I must think about education. Our
education system actually doesnt work as it should, teachers are not well paid
and the physical structures of ours schools are really poor. Therefore, as a result
we have the lowest education level of whole country.

From my point of view education is the most important pillar of a society and the
future of our country are the kids. In fact if I had the chance I would start from
change how we treat our teachers, the bottom line would be rise the teachers
salary and give to them a full career plan, each teacher would be responsible for
one class on part of time and on the other part they would be free to plan and to
think of ways to increase the tuition.

Following this, the next step would be improve the existent buildings and to
build ten big new schools in strategic areas, this step would avoid long commutes
of our students providing more facilities for parents and teachers as well. In this
case this step would help to solve another crucial problem, the critical situation
of our public transport, but it is not in question right now.

To conclude I would like to say that education goes beyond material and
physical, it is in every situation and in every moment. I have mentioned two
basic points which are fundamental to begin, but just begin, I have known we
need a deep reform in our education system and it is not only referred to my
hometown but to the whole country.
