response to what they have learned and gained throughout the course and their revisions (C8).
-Students will be able to set their goals for the official AP Literature and Composition Exam, and their
college English courses (C8).
Essential Questions:

What would you like to accomplish in your future English courses at college?
What is your best writing piece and why?
Assessments:
Portfolio Students will present their final semester portfolio and collect artifacts from each
unit. Students will complete a reflection and critique their best work and how they have
grown over the semester. Students will also set goals and offer questions for their future
study at college and for the official AP exam in May (C7, C8).
Final Exam Description:
Now that our semester is coming to a close and we have done numerous writing projects and
literature studies, I want you to look back at all that you have learned and accomplished since we
started last summer.
You will be giving a speech and presentation to your class answering the two key focal questions:
What have you gained and learned this year in AP Literature (focus on 3-
4 things and specific artifacts/evidence/examples from class)
What would you like to accomplish in college when it comes to
reading and writing (this is a future goal! Tip: this could be said in your conclusion)

While these are the two main focal questions you need to answer in your speech, there are other
questions/answers you include such as:
What were some of your favorite moments(literature, writing, class lessons, etc.)
What advice would you give future AP Lit. students?
Why was taking AP Literature worthwhile or important in your high school career?
What is one lesson and/or literature piece everyone should read?
