h the candidate for certification: understands reflective practice
What: Task 2 and Task 3 (used in PPAT by ETS) and clinical observation form
Who: Completed with students in my clinical placement
When: February 2014
Significant Details: For Task 2, I was reflecting and analyzing on my lesson (writing a 3- part story) about how well students understood and what modifications had to be made. For Task 3, I was reflecting and analyzing on the students understanding and success of the lesson. In my artifacts, I have highlighted where I reflected and analyzed the lessons in both Task 2 and Task 3. Also attached in my artifacts is a lesson observation form completed by Dr. Christine Sacerdote. In this observation, she mentions that I made accommodations to meet the needs of the 3-year-old students. She also mentions that I was quick to adjust when it was needed.
Analysis: By completing these reflections, it helped me enhance teaching performance during instruction and for future instruction so that I can enhance student learning. I felt as if I had a better understanding of reflection during Task 3 after completing the reflection in Task 2.
