Significant Details: In every lesson plan provided as an artifact, there is a pre- assessment, during-assessment, and post-assessment. The pre-assessment is something that checks prior knowledge or an activity that has been completed before this one. The during-assessment is an assessment that checks students knowledge or progression during the lesson. The post-assessment is an assessment used to check a students knowledge after the lesson is completed. Often in a Montessori classroom, these are completed by way of teacher observation or by the terms of, initially shown lesson, practicing lesson, and mastered lesson.
Analysis: Each assessment is highlighted in the lesson plans attached as artifacts. All of these authentic assessments are age appropriate depending on what age level the lesson was created for.
