Method
After the set up of the equipments the power supply was tunred on and adjusted the voltage to
10 volts. The voltage was held to an angle where the tip of the black voltage lead touched the
conductive paper at the point of an arrow and the red voltage lead does not quite touch the sheet. The
voltage leads were tilted upright which both tips touched the conductive paper. The voltage was closely
monitored in the DataStudio. While doing so, the black tip was kept stationary but slowly pivoted the
red tip side-to-side. As the red tip was moved the voltage was closely monitored again then moving the
tip was stopped when the highest voltage was reached. On the location of the highest voltage an arrow
was drawn on the conductive paper from the tip of the black lead to the tip of the red lead. Then the tip
of the black lead was moved to the head of the arrow. The action was repeated by moving the tip of the
red lead from side-to-side until the new voltage was at its highest value. And an arrow was drawn again
on the direction of the highest voltage. Same procedure was done until the arrows reached all the way
to other charge. After reaching the positive side, the voltage leads were moved back to the negative side
and a new point was selected near the pushpin at which to place the tip of the black lead. The process
was continued until 5 sets of lines were mapped.
