What do members mean to RideAbility?

Members mean RideAbility will be around in the future – it’s that simple.

RideAbility was incorporated as a “membership-based” non-profit organization. The size of our

membership base gives credibility to our organization, as seen by United Way, other community
organizations, financial institutions, and the public in general.

Members have the ability to call special meetings and give direction to the future of RideAbility.
As we continue to grow, members take on an important role in shaping the future policy,
procedures, activities, events and projects of the organization. RideAbility enjoys the heartfelt
volunteer efforts of many wonderful people. Just as volunteers are critical to the implementation
of the programs in RideAbility, member’s voices are what continue to create and shape each and
every class and program for today and tomorrow.

Membership is NOT required to participate in RideAbility activities (except semi-private

lessons); it simply gives you a voice in the future of the organization and offers an opportunity to
financially support the programs you enjoy. Each year the collection of membership dues is
gathered together and used to buy something new and useful for the students.
