WHO ARE YOU?

Individuals who are committed to journalism


and its future. You dont have to be a journalist
but you must convince us youre serious about
becoming one.
Individuals with a passion for business and
international news and who are interested in
working globally.
Recent graduates, working journalists or
individuals with specialist backgrounds law,
medicine, computer science, accounting etc
who want to start a new career.
You must be fuent in English and able to
write well and quickly.
Advanced language skills in Arabic,
Mandarin and Russian for example are an
advantage.
Expertise in data analysis is a plus.
A visual eye and multimedia experience will
give you an edge.
My favorite
moments are those
phone calls from the
editor, telling me a
great story is unfolding
in a remote part of Kenya or
elsewhere in the region, and asking
very politely if I would mind jumping
on the next plane to Zanzibar or
Somalia. Needless to say, my answer
is always: Yes, Id love to go.
