Business Case should answer the following questions:
1.) Why are we doing this project?
For the application of knowledge and learning we acquired about systems analysis and design is the main reason why we are doing this project in the first place. In addition, the improvement and enhancement that will be generated by our project would likely benefit not just the business organization we are addressing but the customers as well as the public in general. The project on the other side would benefit us, the proponents, since we can use all our learning in the process of generating such improvement and development system.
2.) What is the project about? 4.) How much will it cost and how long will it take? Our estimation for our project will not be less than Php150,000.00 which is only the salary of one programmer including his/her subordinates but not more Php250,000.00 depending on the degree of revision for the system. For allowances and other expenses will not be less than Php50,000.00 a month. The duration for our project will normally take for about 2 3 months depending on the degree of revision of the companys system.
6.) What is the return on investment and payback period? Cost will surely be present in the implementation and conducting our proposed project, but the management should not worry about this. After 3-6 months upon the implementation the company will surely feel the return on their investment through efficient, effective and convenient flow of information. Transactions can be properly accounted for thus providing more reliable information. Managerial lapses can be easily determined; it discourages future negligence and carelessness. It can provide information that will help the company manage and conduct business.
8.) How we measure success? Success can only be obtained when we can successfully create if not to revise a new effective system that somehow helps the chosen firm to realize of what is lacking into their existing system. 9.) What alternatives do we have? If the chosen firm dont have its system yet, then part of our business case is to make a new documentation on their manual process, if possible. Of course, it is not a proposal to the business.
