The City cant make up for Harrisburgs failures but it can and must ensure no
new cuts to schools. Councils promised us $120 million. Heres our plan for
$96 million more:
Provide another $28 million in borrowing (total $55 million) to put toward next
years budget. The debt service is already counted in the sales tax revenue.
$53 million shift in city budget to restore schools to a 60% property tax share.
Call upon the Philadelphia Parking Authority to put $22 million in sales of taxi
licenses toward the schools not its own coffers.
Demand spending for classrooms we need nurses, counselors and school staff
not new programs and charter expansions!
Council wont do this on its own. They need your voice. Call Council TODAY.
