Introduction
VIDEO: Virginia Indians:
Meet the Tribes.
All students will watch the
video from the VDOE
website:
http://virginiaindians.pwnet.org/
During Video:
1.) Students will receive an
index card with a current
state recognized tribe. As
they watch the video they will
write down 1-2 interesting
facts that they learn about
their tribe.
After Video:
1.) Find other students with
the same Indian tribe. Share
what you wrote on your card.
2.) Share with the class some
interesting facts about your
tribe.
Follow Up:
1.) Students will research
more about their tribe and
add it to their travel brochure.
They will have access to my
portaportal on the internet to
find more information. They
