    Jane Austen

    Jane Austen was a British novelist, who


    lived between 1775 and 1817. Her novels
    are considered classics of the English
    literature.
    Jane Austen was born on December
    16th, 1775, in Hampshire. She was the
    seventh of eight children. She had a
    happy childhood with all her brothers.
    Also she enjoyed dancing and she loved
    the country, enjoyed long walks, and
    had many friends. Her father had a
    huge library of novels, so even as a little
    girl Jane was encouraged to write.
    Nearly when she was 14 years old, she started to write and by the
    time she was 16, Jane had a long list of unpublished writings.
    But it was in her 30s when she wrote her most famous novels,
    such as: Emma, Lady Susan, Sense and Sensibility, and my
    personal favorite, Pride and Prejudice.
    I admire Jane Austen because she was a very talented writer. She
    knew how to create good stories with simple words. Also I love the
    fact that she wasnt an ordinary woman. In those days women
    had to take care of their husbands, and of course they had to be
    very talented in dancing, drawing and crafts. But Jane was
    different and was interested in literature. I think I see a little bit
    of her in me, I guess thats why I admire her a lot.
