FAMILY RECIPE

RECIPE:Yam pottage or porridge


INGREDIENTS
yam
palm oil
seasoning
salt
onions 1
tomato 2
red ball 1
stock fish 1
PREPARATION
-Parboil the stock fish until tender
-Cut the yam into cubes and boil in salted water until soft
-Add the seasoning as desired together with the blended red pepper, tomatoes and
onions
-let the yam boil in the soup for about 8 minutes
-Add the palm oil
-Add the parboiled stock fish
-Stir the yam cubes when the soup thickens
-Let the yam simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes and then it is ready to serve
-It could be served with fried fish, meat or boiled egg
