Conclusion
Overall, the FE model (Version 1) of 2012 Toyota
Camry shows relatively good correlation in frontal
NCAP simulations (56 km/hr) in terms of vehicle time
responses and behaviors (crush modes of structural
members)
Future updates will include additional verifications
using NHTSA offset & oblique, IIHS side, roof
strength, and rigid pole impact tests to consider the
vehicle responses in different crash scenarios
Missing interior components (needed for occupant
analysis) will also be included in the updated model
