Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions,
and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the
power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a
sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At
the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the
teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will
have their picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in
the newsletter.
God has laid out a plan in His Word for the way authority is
suppose to lead and the way those under that authority are
suppose to respond to leaders in authority over them.

Romans 13:1, Let every soul be subject to higher authorities.

Father God,
Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron,
and his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love
is fowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things
will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great
you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed.
In Jesus' name,
Amen
For I did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but I
received the spirit of adoption by Whom I cry, Abba Father.
Romans 8:15
For with Gods authority I command even the unclean spirits
and they obey me. Mark 1:27b
God gives unto me the power to tread on serpents and
scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. Luke 10:19
The Bible teaches that government is ordained by God for the
good of all people. Human government was established by
God in His instruction to Noah right after the food. This was
when God started the death penalty for those who commit
murder. God does not want us to hurt one another, so when
we do there must be consequences. Jesus told His disciples
to turn the other cheek when they were persecuted, but
this is not the rule for every confict. Gods plan for authority
is to be used to make a peaceful place for everyone to live.
Christians should pray for and support our leaders by obeying
its laws and paying taxes.
