The purpose of this letter is to submit a reference for Tracy Collins. I have known Ms. Collins for over 15 years and have enjoyed the privilege of observing her professional and teaching attributes blossom.
The professional character of Ms. Collins lends toward attributes caring, compassion, integrity, dedication, efficiency, and self-motivation. Ms. Collins genuinely cares about individuals who are entrusted in her care. She demonstrates this caring as she compassionately, yet safely provides appropriate healthcare for which she is sought. In addition, Ms. Collins is concerned with the whole individual. She strives to wholistically assist her clients. For example, she not only works to assist clients with their current problems, but rather she works to reestablish and maintain health while she at the same time works proactively to anticipate future client needs. Ms. Collins holds herself to high standards of integrity. She believes that honesty is an essential part of professionalism. She is dedicated to promoting the health and preventing disease of individuals and desires to teach this health promotion and disease prevention to others. Ms. Collins is well organized, dependable, efficient and self-motivated. Moreover, she has exemplary communication skills. Ms. Collins professionally articulates her thoughts as well as the thoughts of those for whom she advocates.
As a teacher, she compassionately facilitates learning. She demonstrates compassionan innate love for students, upholds students learning in high regards, and goes beyond expectations to facilitate learning. Her teaching strategies engage students such that these students were as excited, if not more excited as she was in their own learning. In addition, Ms. Collins integrates technology into courses she teaches and has been effective in facilitating online courses. She recognizes the diverse learning styles of students and therefore modifies her classroom environments to accommodate the greatest number of students. Ms. Collins also passionately advocates for students outside of her classroom as she serves as the faculty advisor for the Student Nurses Association.

In closing, it is fitting that Ms. Collins has chosen to pursue doctoral studies.
