Can I Lose my Salvation?

Regarded as the most controversial question in the Christian faith, the answer to
this question has been very much deliberated all over the world. As we approach
this study, let us keep in mind two very important verses from the greatest book
ever written, the Bible; Numbers 23:19 and John 17:17.
What is salvation, in the simplest sense?
Romans 6:6-8
John 3:16
2 Corinthians 5:17
Where does the controversy begin?
Hebrews 6:4-10
Hebrews 10:26-38
1 Peter 4:18
What is the basis of our salvation?
John 3:16
Mark 16:16
John 1:12
Receiving Christ, by believing in Him, is the only means by which we are saved. He
said in John 14:6 that he is the way the truth and the life.
Drawing the line (Identifying the various human personalities with regards to
salvation)
1 Corinthians 2:14
1 Corinthians 3:1-3
Ephesians 1:3

Let us analyze the situation.
Christ said he is the way (John 14:6). Way to where?
If we agree that Christ is the only way into salvation, hence being a point on
entry, how be it that we should believe there is another way out of salvation by
virtue of what we do (our works)?
For in essence, if there is another way, be it an entry or exit, will that other way
render Christ a liar? Yet in that same verse He says, He is the truth.
Coming from another perspective we agree that God is the only Judge over all
things (1 Corinthians 4:3). In 1 John 4:17, we are told that as Christ is (after being
judged for sin and sitting at the fathers right hand) so are we in this world. So if
we are in Christ, then have we not already been judged? Our stand before God is
just as Christ is.
Finally, why is Jesus coming again? (John 14:1-4)
To the Christian who believes, the second coming which we all eagerly await has
nothing to do with sin. Its all about relocating to our new home. Why then do we
worry ourselves with the world when they worry about their fate? We are
confident that our sins have already been dealt with.
By no chance should a believing Christian doubt his or her salvation. It is settled if
you believe, you are saved.
So then the question, What if you stop believing or you doubt?
Mark 16:16
John 20:27
