Teacher will ask students to raise their hand if they have
done that and then may ask a student to model the action

Provide Input
Teacher will model the actions for target verbs
Students will copy the modeled actions and repeat the
Spanish verb
3 minutes

Feedback
Teacher will quiz students on action words (say the
Spanish verb and students must show an appropriate
motion to match the verb)
Learners will listen to the word and demonstrate the
movement with their bodies
Teacher will model for students the motion to the
chicken dance song with motions for each verb.
Modeling will go from slow to fast.
Learners will copy the movements and Spanish verbs
5 minutes
Closure

Teacher will play the chicken dance video and ask
students to participate along with the music to review the
verbs
Students will sing and move to the chicken dance song
2 minutes
