Technology Business Incubator of National Institute of Technology Calicut (TBI-NITC) is organizing a one day Workshop/ Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Awareness for the students and faculty members of NIT Calicut on Saturday, 05 th Oct, 2013 with the sponsorship from Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India. This Workshop/ Seminar would focus on: Importance and scope of IPR in Academic Researches. Types of Innovations patentable & how to test patentability of your innovations procedures of patent writing & patent filing & The process of granting patent The workshop will be useful to all those who are doing research, as patent/intellectual property has great value in todays academia as well as industry. The day long workshop will include a series of lectures by eminent experts in the field as follows.
