what? Te Diploma in Urban Church Ministry is
designed to prepare adult learners for graduate-level
seminary studies as an alternative to a traditional
degree program route. Providing a basic theological
foundation and an opportunity to enroll in a masters
program, the diploma equips veteran ministers with
new tools to increase their ministry efectiveness.
WHO? Diploma in Urban Church Ministry students
are typically pastors or church leaders who do not
possess undergraduate degrees. Our students come
from a wide range of denominations and backgrounds
with signifcant ministry experience and demonstrated
potential for graduate-level studies.
why? Ofering graduate-level courses with fexible
hours at minimal cost, this diploma is ideal for full-
time ministers. Courses cover basic theological and
ministry studies, critical thinking and writing, and a
survey of the Old and New Testaments. By developing
a strong foundation through the diploma, students are
beter equipped to continue in their ministry or pursue
a masters degree.
WHATS NEXT? Students who successfully complete
the diploma may be eligible for matriculation into
Gordon-ConwellBostons Master of Divinity or Master
of Arts in Urban Ministry Leadership degree program.
