Faculty Growth and Development Plan

This form should be completed as a means of setting goals in each area where the faculty member intends to grow, improve or be
particularly active. According to the schedule agreed upon, the faculty member will assess his/her progress with the dean or associate
dean. Include any anticipated professional development opportunities in the appropriate goal setting area. The supervisor may request
that specific items in the plan be bolded to note that they were requested to be added by the supervisor.

recruiting efforts.

Effectively advise students regarding academic coursework by maintaining monthly
contact via email and/or face-to-face meetings.

Volunteer to help undergraduate faculty in various capacities such as scoring
student teaching unit plans or demonstrating how to integrate effective technology
tools (especially regarding Common Core) into lesson plans for their students.

Serve as a discussion facilitator for Lipscomb Universitys Center for Teaching and
Learning iRead project throughout the 2014-2015 year.

Serve on ISTEs Administrator PLN leadership team for the 2014-2015 year.

Serve as a mentor for The Joshua Project at Lipscomb University.

IV. Administration Time %: 15 (Range: 10%-70%)

Proposed Plan Estimated Cost
Continue redesigning Technology Integration Specialty courses to make them more
competency-specific and to integrate iPad applications. Collaborate with the
program director to develop the Instructional Design in Online Environments
course content.

Collaborate with program director to select adjuncts and create course progressions
for the Technology Integration Specialty program. Create and define assignments,
including key assignments and spiritual formation assignments, for the classes, and
distribute these to faculty as needed. Provide support to faculty in TI courses.
Update syllabi, matrices, and program goals as needed. Make sure that the TI
courses include the Quality Matters (QM) rubric components.

Continue organizing Ignite: Get Switched on to Technology Unconference with
Outreach and Enrollment to promote the TI M.Ed. program and certificate.
