CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION This researcher became interest in the study of back ground music in the educational elementary classroom because of the researchers bachelors in Elementary Education and future goal to be an educator. This researcher wants to be fully equipped to enrich the minds of students and be prepared for the most effective practices to achieve as an educator. This researcher is passionate about giving students the best education possible no matter their age, ethnicity, or poverty level so that they might succeed in life. Statement of the Problem Unfortunately little is known locally if background music is positively effective to students task performance. Consequently the researcher will seek to discover this issue through a survey of students task performance when placed in different auditory inference settings. Purpose To discover if the use of background music enhances the task performance of elementary students could be beneficial to educators and their students. Taking advantage of every resource available will benefit all classrooms and better.
