vel. Any writing in either book appears exactly as written in the paired book, p
rovided each message starts on a fresh page. Each book contains 25 pages and whe
n each page has sent or received a message that page loses its magical power to
communicate for 24 hours. Use of the proper command word transfers a journal pag
e to a mundane piece of parchment nearby. Untranssferred text is erased when the
page's power is renewed each day. The link covers unlimited distance but may no
t bridge the gap between planes. The Journal does not translate languages or dec
ipher encryptions in anyway.
