All(the(CNAs(hired(by(March(attended(mandatory(skills(lab(in(which(items(such(as(proper(gait(belt(use(and
body(mechanics(were(reviewed,(including(a(fall(scenario(with(review(of(safety(interventions,(hourly
rounding(assessments,(and(fall(huddle(debriefing.((
However,(the(ACPs(are(not(required(to(attend(these(skills(labs,(so(perhaps(there(are(gaps(amongst(this(group?(
I(think(that(the(CNAs/ACPs(do(receive(some(general(training(upon(hire(but(can't(remember(what(all(the(skills
are.(I(would(have(to(check(tomorrow(when(I(am(back(in(the(office.(Kyle))do(you(remember(if(these(skills(are
reveiwed(in(HR.
There(skills(checklists(include(signing(off(on(such(things(during(orientation;(however,(that(certainly(isn't(a
guarantee(that(such(skills(are(taught(correctly!!(I(wonder(if(it(would(be(helpful(to(review(such(items(at(the
quarterly(meetings?(Might(be(worth(it(if(we(are(seeing(more(falls(related(to(CNA/ACP(presence(or(lack(thereof.

are(in(the(room.(or(not(in(the(room..((
I(am(hoping(to(plan(a(training(course(with(them(for(my(next(meeting.((I(want(to(empower(the(CNA/ACP(to(use
the(Fall(tool(in(the(room(and(use(this(as(a(talking(point(with(patients(too.((There(really(is(no(reason(why(they
shouldn't(be(using(this(too((after(they(have(checked(with(the(RN(and(agreed(high(fall,(moderate(fall,(or(low(fall
risk).((I'm(guessing(if(I(can(give(a(direct(number(like(5/10(Falls((or(whatever(the(number(is)(are(when(CNAs(are
in(direct(care(of(the(pt,(this(might(be(kind(of(a(wake(up(call(for(this(group.
Kyle(and(Annsley,(I(want(to(try(to(incorporate(something(like(a:(how(to(ambulate(patients(correctly,(how(to
toilet(patients,(how(to(transfer,(ectera,(by(an(RN(so(that(we(know(it(is(being(properly(taught(on(the(initial(hire.
(I(want(it(to(be(emphasized(at(the(beginning(of(the(training(why(this(is(so(important(and(their(direct(impact.
