ECE SIGNALS, SPECTRA, SIGNAL PROCESSING COURSE DESCRIPTION A study of the general concepts, principles and applications of digital signal processing. Focus is on the characterization of signals and systems in time and frequency domains. Mathematical tools such as z-transform and Fourier analysis is discussed for such purpose.
Prerequisite: -Probability and statistics -Advanced Engineering Mathematics
GENERAL OBJECTIVES At the end of the course, the students must be able to: 1. Explain the concept involving classification, characteristics and transformation of signals. 2. Represent mathematically the signals in terms of differential equations and Fourier analysis. 3. Know the different types of digital filter design.
