Inquiry Research Project Revision Memo
For the final draft of this paper, I essentially took all of the comments that I had received
from Jenna, Victoria, and Mrs. Keaton and thought carefully about how each comment could
improve my paper. I decided after reading through my paper before revising that I would apply
most of these comments to my final draft. To revise, I started from the beginning of my paper
and continued to revise all the way through to the end. I did not do anything out of order. I
began first with the hard copies that had been revised by my peers in class, and these mostly
contained suggestions on how to fix grammar mistakes or reword sentences so that they
flowed better. After making changes to my paper based on these suggestions, I then moved on
to Mrs. Keatons suggestions and went through them one by one. Most of the comments from
her suggested that I added more detail, and I made sure to follow her suggestions and did as
they said. For the most part, I listened to every comment that she had made and changed my
paper to fix what she suggested could use some work. The only piece of advice that I did not
take from her was conducting a second interview from Dr. Giardina. I did not follow up with
another interview because the first one wasnt really what I was expecting; he seemed to be
uninterested and gave me short answers, which led me to believe that I was annoying him. For
this reason I neglected to do a follow up interview and decided to just work with what I had
from him. I believe that my revised paper is better that the previous draft because I improved
grammar mistakes, fixed sentences that did not flow well, and added more detail where I was
instructed to do by my professor. My final draft is more informative, easier to read, and is more
interesting.
