Final Reflection Revision Memo
For my Final Reflection paper, I had to take a similar revision approach to my revision of
my Theory of Writing. Both of these papers were work shopped in class on the day that my
computer crashed, so I unfortunately missed out on this opportunity for my peers to give me
suggestions on them. To make up for this opportunity, I had to take matters into my own hands
and revise this paper myself along with my Theory of Writing.
Before I began my revision process, I first printed out a hard copy of my paper (as I
always do when revising). I read through this hard copy one time silently, trying to read it as if I
had never seen it before. I have to read it this way otherwise my brain just skims through it and I
end up having poor revision results. After my first read-through, I read my paper again but with a
pen in hand this time. I made corrections in pen on my paper while I read, and after I was
finished I took a few moments to think about the changes that I had made and whether I liked
them or not. After this, I opened up my Final Reflection first draft on the computer and executed
my changes that I had made on paper.
I believe that my final draft of this paper is better than my first because I fixed some
sentences that did not read well or sounded awkward and added details where my paper was
lacking. My final draft sounds more thought out and intelligent.
