Dear Mr. Thompson,

You will recall my letters to you of January 23rd and February 21st 2006 bringing to
your attention the investigation by Malcolm Keith-Hill and myself into the so-called
“cash for questions” affair. You will recall that I requested you to instigate an
assessment of the evidence collated by my colleague Malcolm Keith-Hill and me,
which supports the claims of innocence of the former MP Neil Hamilton and which
shows he was the victim of a conspiracy to pervert the official parliamentary inquiry
into the affair perpetrated by the Guardian in cahoots with Mohamed Fayed and
others.

You will recall that I supplied you with a copy of my book “Trial by Conspiracy” plus
copious documentation validating the book’s merit and importance. However you
declined to do so on the grounds that in June 2004 your predecessor, the former acting
director-general Mark Byford, had declined a similar request I had made of him three
months earlier in March 2004.

Please find enclosed my letter of today to the BBC’s Director of News Helen Boaden
repeating my request and my reasons for making it. I call on you to ensure that
Ms. Boaden gives a positive response.

Yours sincerely,

Jonathan Boyd Hunt
