PROJECT DETAILS

PROJECT TITLE: Design Optimization and Analysis of an automotive manual
transmission shaft
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
To compare the usage of AISI grade steel with usage of composite shaft in light
of the optimum weight, good vibration characteristics and critical speed of
automotive manual shaft. Genetic algorithm is used to optimize the weight of
opposite shaft. FEA is used to support the objective based on failure theory and
GA of composite shaft is used as an input for FEA.
