Christmas Banquet 2009

WASHINGTON, DC – The MentoringWorks2 (hereinafter referred to as MW2, Inc.)


In-school/After-school/Summer Mentoring Program is having it’s Annual Christmas Banquet
at the Thurgood Marshall Building 1816 12th Street N.W. Washington, D.C. 20009 on
December 19, 2009 from 6pm-11pm. This year we will be featuring great music, 2 local
comedians, delicious food, a 50-50 raffle and an awards ceremony for our youth, family
members, staff, mentors, volunteers and community partners.

This is a business causal dress event and all donations are $50 per person.

MW2, Inc. assists at-risk youth between the ages of 7-17 within the District of Columbia’s
Ward 1 – Shaw/Pleasant Plains and Columbia Heights quadrant. MW2, Inc. strives to help
youth develop the inner resources and skills they need to cope with the pressures that may
lead them into unhealthy and anti-social behavior. As a result the MW2, Inc. program assist
youth with initiatives that prevent unsafe behavior; but beyond that, produce youth who are
self-reliant, confident and responsible members of society. Youth participants in the
program receive comprehensive services including mentoring, academic tutoring, career
development, cultural enhancement, college readiness and preparation, life and computer
literacy skills.

MW2, Inc. is asking for your generous donations for this event to assist us in awarding our
youth for their past success in our program this year. MW2, Inc. is also asking everyone who
has a blog, a Twitter account, a Facebook profile, and other online presence to display this
information. All donations are tax-deductible and will benefit MW2, Inc., a registered
501(c)(3), non-profit organization providing mentoring services for at risk youth.
