Social Sciences:
Students will learn about
stars in relation to the Earth
and the Universe. We will
discuss that there are too
many to count and their
brightness.


Math:
Number Sense
Our class began Chapter 2 this
week. We will learn about place
value of numbers to 1,000. We will
also compare numbers.

Please continue to practice math
facts. The 5 minute math addition
drills (100 problems) do not count as
a grade. I encourage the students
to make it a personal goal to
increase their individual scores.


Dear Parents,
Dont forget to turn in your $5.00
cash for the Weekly Reader. This is a great
way for students to read and explore
Nonfiction text. I have received money
from half of the class.
I am thrilled to report that Listen
Up has been funded on donorschoose.org.
Thank you to Avas mom and the Donaldson
Foundation for giving to our classroom
needs on Donors Choose! Our class is very
excited about our new wireless listening
center! It should be here in a few weeks.
