understandingofeconomicsclassesandknowledgeofPSUsscholarshipopportunities.

registeringintramuralsportsteams,andgaugingmemberssatisfactionwiththeclub.This

planningsessionsforclubmembers.Ideally,thisAssociatewillhaveexperiencewith

FINANCE

FundraisingAssociate
ThispositionmainlyinvolvesorganizingfundraisingeventsbenefitingtheEconomics
Association.ThefundraisingAssociateisresponsibleforworkingwithupto2associatesin
ordertodevelop,implement,andoverseeallfundraisingevents.Otherimportantdutiesofthe
positionincludedelegatingtaskstoassociates,communicatingwithanyoutsidepartythatis
workingwithus(inperson,phone,email,etc.),responsiblyhandlingallfundraisingrevenue,and
maintainingorganizedspreadsheetsoffundraisingrevenuesandexpenses.

Leadingthefundraisingcommitteerequiresonetobecreative,organized,andpossessexcellent
communicationskills.Someadditionalqualitiesthispositiondemandsinclude:Beingableto
maketimelinesandlayoutdetailedplansBeingabletoworkwellwithnumbersand
spreadsheets(Excel,GoogleSpreadsheets,Numbers,etc.).
Lastbutnotleast,anypastexperiencewithhandlingmoneyororganizingafundraisingeventwill
proveuseful(thoughtheyarenotrequired).

EconomicsAssociationsTHONrelatedactivities.Otherimportantdutiesofthepositioninclude
delegatingtaskstoassociates,communicatingwithanyoutsidepartythatisworkingwithus
(inperson,phone,email,etc.),andresponsiblyhandlinganycash/fundsthatcomethroughthis
committee.

Leadingthephilanthropycommitteerequiresonetobecreative,organized,outgoing,
enthusiastic,andpossessexcellentcommunicationskills.Theabilitytomaketimelinesandlay
outdetailedplansisamusthaveforthisposition.Lastly,anypastexperiencewithTHONor
organizingaphilanthropyeventwillproveuseful(thoughtheyarenotrequired).

individualwillberesponsiblefor,butnotlimitedto,heavycollaborationonsimulations,and
attendingaweeklymeetingswiththeSocialEdteam.

AssociatewillassisttheVPofOutreach,alongwithExternalRelationsAssociates,planevents
withcorporaterecruiters,faculty,andalumni.Youwillalsoberesponsibleforworkingwiththe
MarketingAssociateforthepurposesofmarketingOutreachevents.

Thispositionrequirestheindividualtoconductresearchfortheorganization.AsResearch

InternalresearchentailsprovidingtopicchoicesandinformationforTheGreatDebateaswell
asprovidinginformationonpotentialcompaniestopassontotheExternalRelationsAssociate
inorderforchoosewhichcompaniestocontactfortheAssociation.Externalresearchinvolves
conductingbothshortandlongtermresearchprojectsthatsgoalistobepublishedand/or
presented.
