Document Responsibility: Standards Coordinator
General Information Saudi Aramco Engineering Procedures (SAEPs) have been established as a uniform method of assembling directions to accomplish various engineering activities. These procedures have been approved by Saudi Aramco Management, and provide instructions for the activity and set responsibilities for accomplishing it. SAEPs are mandatory and apply on a Company-wide basis. While there are no limitations on what engineering activities are covered by SAEPs, generally they are prepared for those that must be accomplished on a repetitive basis. Some existing procedures include the following: Authorization for Expenditures Capital Program Planning Chemical Cleaning of Boilers Contractor Quality Assurance and Quality Control Metric Units of Weights and Measures On-Stream Inspection Administration Operating Instructions for New Facilities Pressure Relief Valves Project Proposals and Environmental Assessments Standard Drawings and Library Drawings Waiver of Mandatory Engineering Requirements Welder Performance Testing For a complete listing of approved SAEPs, refer to the folder in DeskTop Standards labeled "Procedures". For instructions on preparing and obtaining approval of an SAEP, see SAEP-134.
