Aloo wadi

Ingredients
Black gram split (urad dal dhuli) 100 grams
Potato 4 medium
Onion ,roughly chopped 2 medium
Ginger,roughly chopped 2 12 inch pieces
Oil ! ta"lespoons
#umin seeds 12 teaspoon
$omato,pureed 2 large
$urmeric po%der 1 teaspoon
#oriander po%der 2 teaspoons
#umin po%der 12 teaspoon
&ed chilli po%der 12 teaspoon
'alt to taste
Garam masala po%der 14 teaspoons
(resh coriander lea)es,chopped 1 ta"lespoon
Method
Break the nuggets into small pieces. Peel and quarter the potatoes vertically. Grind the onions and ginger
to a fine paste.
Heat the oil in a pressure cooker and add the cumin seeds. When they begin to change colour add the
onion-ginger paste and saut for three minutes.
