Responsibilities

Ambulance
Responsibilities include: Assisting students who need a tissue or a drink of
water, taking students to sickbay when required, consoling peers when they
are not feeling well

This person but be observant, helpful and caring

You will receive $10 a week of dojo money for your time
Analyst
Responsibilities include: Look at auction items prior to auction day and make
recommendations on the quantity of items that should be sold, for e.g. 1 pencil
should be auctioned rather than 5 so that more money is made. Make predictions
on the price you think each item will be sold for, create a report with your
predictions and give it to Miss Adan's personal assistant each week, analyse various
other data when required. You may be required to communicate your findings with
the class.

This person must be accurate and confident with using excel.

You will receive $20 a week of dojo money for your time.
Artists/ Designers
Responsibilities include: Ensuring that the art area is consistently clean and
organised, ensuring that storeroom cupboard is organised, creating decorations
and signs when required, completing various art projects, find inspiration for art
projects for the class to complete, assisting with the set up and clean of art lessons,
assist others with their artistic techniques during projects (especially those who are
less confident), getting resources from other classes if required.

These people must love seeing and making art, be highly creative and organised.

You will receive $12 a week of dojo money for your time.

Auctioneer Assistant
Responsibilities include: Assisting with the running of the auction, explaining how the auction will work
before it commences, informs the auctioneer if someone has made a higher bid, record the winner for each
bid on an auction record form and inform the banker to enter this information into Bankaroo on Thursday
and take on the role of the auctioneer if they are absent.

This person must be organised, accurate, confident, creative and have a clear speaking voice with
appropriate volume.

You will receive $18 a week of dojo money for your time.


Auctioneer
Responsibilities include: Running the auction, explaining what each item is as it is
presented to the audience, persuade the audience to bid for items with a creative sales
pitch, open the bidding and engage the audience, e.g. "We have an Ultimate Frisbee. Do I
have any takers?" Joel for $6. Do I hear $7? Any more bidders? Going once, going twice,
sold!

This person must be organised, confident, creative, persuasive, have a clear speaking voice
with appropriate volume and a sense of humour.

You will receive $25 a week of dojo money for your time.
Auditor
Responsibilities include: Assisting banker with work flow, checking bankers
work before it is submitted

This person must pay high attention to detail and be very accurate

You will receive $30 a week of dojo money for your time.

Banker
Responsibilities include: banking dojo points on Thursday in week 9 and week 10
since Thursday will be our official pay day, handing out pay checks to workers, keep
track of bids during auction, entering in amounts from bids into Bankaroo, inform
the class of their balances when required.

*Assistant will do these things if the banker is absent. They will also assist the
banker with their workload.

This person must be hard working, honest, enjoy Maths and accurate when
entering in data onto a computer.

You will receive $30 a week of dojo money for your time.
Chief Astronomer
Responsibilities include: Providing the class with updates on the latest
news in astronomy on Edmodo, presenting to the class on the latest news in
astronomy when required, writing a few blog posts about our Science unit in
term 3, assist Miss Adan with starting an astronomy club at JPPS.

This person must have a strong passion for astronomy, clear written and
verbal communication and great team working skills.

You will receive $20 a week of dojo money for your time.

Electrician
Responsibilities include: Turning the aircon, lights and fans on and off when
required, organising a team of people to pull up and pull down the blinds
when required, ensuring that all lights are off when the class leaves the
room, turning on 2 side computers in the morning.

This person must be reliable and be able to organise a small team.

You will receive $8 a week of dojo money for your time.
Entertainment Coordinator and Assistant
Responsibilities include: Creating a cd of appropriate music to play during art lessons,
organise entertainment each week for Friendly Fridays, hold simple auditions for Friendly
Fridays and ensure that each act is ready and confident in their performance, gather data
from the class about what time of entertainment they would like to see on Friendly Fridays,
gather feedback after performances, organise a host for Friendly Fridays, ensure that the
act has what they need for their performance and that the audience is happy, communicate
with Miss Adan's personal assistant about schedule, select music to be played for Dancing
Clean (must be a variety from different genres).

This person must be reliable, creative, engaging and highly organised.

You will receive $20 a week of dojo money for your time.
Fit-it Felix
Responsibilities include: Fixing things when required, for e.g. tables that
have been moved, displays that have fallen off the wall, communicating to
Super 4A about how to take care of the classroom

This person must be quick and always willing to help.

You will receive $9 a week of dojo money for your time




Garden Scientist and Assistant
Responsibilities include: Investigating changes in the class garden laboratory and
informing the class on Edmodo regularly, recording observations and data, training
others to water the various plants properly (i.e. watering the roots of the plant
rather than on top of each plant), being able to identify and provide more
information on each plant that is currently growing, informing Miss Adan if there
are pests within the garden, covering the garden when it is raining, covering the
garden when it is too sunny.

This person must be reliable, accurate, passionate about Science and growing
plants and have great communication skills.

You will receive $18 a week of dojo money for your time.
Assistant will receive $12
Journalist and Editor
Responsibilities include: Writing a weekly blog post on highlights in Super 4A's class or
organising people in the class to write them, editing blog posts written by other students,
taking photos to add to blog posts, promoting when a new blog post is ready on Edmodo.

This person must be creative, love writing, great with using blogs and fantastic at editing.

Editor: correcting errors in syntax (spelling, punctuation & grammar) a line edit or a
proofread, look for over-used words and the overall organisation of writing, check the facts

You will receive $18 a week of dojo money for your time. Editor will receive $20.


Kid President and Vice Kid President
Responsibilities include: Being the voice of Super 4A and communicating their opinions
with Miss Adan, organising events (e.g. soccer matches) to make sure that the class love
working together as a team, encouraging class spirit and ensuring that the whole class is
communicating with one another, work with peers when there are minor problems and
inform Miss Adan, handing out class awards and purchase prides at the end of the week,
working with the entertainment coordinator and personal assistant to organise class party
and the end of each term.

This person must be a good leader, responsible, have initiative, confident, hard working, a
great example to their peers in their studies and through their behaviour, dedicated and
committed.

You will receive $35 a week of dojo money for your time.

Assistant will receive $25 for helping the kid president with their role and assuming their
role if the president is absent.
Librarian
Responsibilities include: Keeping our class library shelves neat and organised in your
independent time, be in charge of carrying library basket when required, hand out library
books, return books to the library from Miss Adan.

These people must be responsible, reliable and organised.

You will receive $10 a week of dojo money for your time.



Lunch Orders
Responsibilities include: walking to the canteen at eating time with the lunch tub
and ice cream container to gather lunch orders for the rest of the class, handing out
lunch orders, placing lunch tub inside the classroom.

These people must be responsible, caring and having great manners to thank the
volunteers at the canteen.

You will receive $10 a week of dojo money for your time.

Meteorologist
Responsibilities include: Providing daily and weekly weather reports to the
class in creative ways. Recommended for people who watch weather
reports. This person must be organised, creative and reliable.

You will receive $8 a week of dojo money for your time.
News Reporters
(Anchors, Sports, Entertainment)
Responsibilities include: Report on important current and local events in front of
the class on Mondays. Recommended for people who watch the news or read the
newspaper.

This person must be organised, have a clear speaking voice and love reading the
news.

You will receive $12 a week of dojo money for your time.
Personal Assistant
Responsibilities include: Doing jobs for Miss Adan as soon as they are required for e.g.
remembering key events and informing Miss Adan and the class on Edmodo, writing the
date on the board each afternoon, reminding classmates about key events coming up,
being a scribe during lessons (either typing or writing on the board), assisting students
when they need help with work after they have consulted their partner and before coming
to Miss Adan themselves, organising the in and out trays, organising conference times
between Miss Adan and classmates.

This person must be hard working in all areas, reliable, have initiative, confident, have
great communication skills (loud and clear), a quick typer, great with technology and have
very neat cursive handwriting.

If you are interested in becoming a teacher you will learn a lot in this position.

You will receive $35 a week of dojo money for your time.
Police
Responsibilities include: Warning peers if they do the wrong thing, issuing fines if
students continue to do the wrong thing and informing Miss Adan, keep the line
quiet before Miss Adans arrival

These people must be great examples to the class, honest, firm and observant

You will receive $10 of dojo money for your time.
Security
Responsibilities include: Standing at the door when required, ensuring that
all students have left the room before the door is shut, opening the door
upon arrival, escorting students out of the classroom when required

This person be reliable and a good communicator

You will receive $10 of dojo money a week.
Sidekick
Responsibilities include: Passing messages from Miss Adan to other teachers and
to the office, transporting mail to the office, collecting items from the office when
required.

This person must be a great communicator, reliable and quick.

You will receive $12 a week of dojo money for your time.


Travel Agent
Responsibilities include: Keeping track of excursion permission slips and helping to
remind students who have not yet handed slips in, ensure that all students are in
line when travelling to different areas of the school, informing Miss Adan if there is
a student who is absent in the line, ensuring that all students have the proper
equipment when moving around the school, provide classmates with directions on
how to get to different parts of the school when required.

This person must be highly organised, great with maps and love travel!

You will receive $12 a week of dojo money for your time.

Vet
Responsibilities include: Looking after the classroom animals everyday, ensuring
that they all have a happy home in the holidays, ensuring that they are not left on
the floor at the end of the day, ensuring that they are all well looked after at all
times.
This person must love animals and be very caring.

You will receive $10 a week of dojo money for your time.
