Background
Pakistan Post has been putting major emphasis in the use
of the information technology in order to add values to
the existing services, stay competitive and meet higher
expectations of the customers
In an effort to streamline payment of pension to PTCL
pensioners, Pakistan Telecommunication Employees Trust
(PTET) in consultation with Pakistan Post has developed a
system for PTCL pension disbursements
System is already operational at Islamabad GPO
Rollout to other GPOs is in process

Fool proof and efficient Payment Operations
Introduction of biometric authentication device
To make the users (including Clerk, APM/Supervisor,
and CPM/Sr. PM) comfortable
Smooth functioning and proper monitoring
First hand training to concerned staff
All existing operational procedures, rules and
regulations will intact

Considerations
All users should perform their jobs on the system; duties
allotted to them are personal responsibility and cannot
be delegated
Sanctity of password should be ensured
The Pension application should never be left in logged-in
stat
Log-off application while leaving counter, even
temporarily
The head of GPO will have to make sure that only
authorized users are using PTCL Pension Payment
Computers
Observe all other security measures specific to the
locations/circumstances
