Dismissal
Hopes and Dreams Day does not count as a day in the 8 day cycle
PSPE
Once in an 8 Day Cycle we are lucky to
receive support from Ms. Monica, our
school counselor. She will co-teach along
side the homeroom teacher to helps
students deal with Personal, Social and
Physical Education.

The counselor is also available for
individual meetings with students. Please
sign the counselor form at the back of the
room. To give permission for your child to
visit the counsellor.
During Islamic lessons (4 times
in an 8-day cycle) non-Islamic
students will stay in class and
complete PSPE classes. During
this time there will be
discussions and activities
surrounding personal, social
and physical education. Other
times we will catch up on
unfinished work or play
educational games. No new
information will be taught
during this time to ensure
Islamic students are always up
to speed.
Differentiated Learning
During math and language
classes students are placed
in ability groups where their
individual needs are met.
Students will mixed across
the entire grade level to
either support their learning
needs or extend their
learning further. During this
time, we have support from
the ELL and the SEN team

hard work.
2. We are CARING! We help each other and we are good friends.
3. We are PRINCIPLED. We do the right thing. We keep
our hands and our feet to ourselves.

ideas and we speak in nice voices.
We listen when others are talking.

Homework
In grade two we expect children to work on
classwork outside of school for approximately
30 minutes each evening. This can include
bedtime reading! We will send homework on
Sundays and expect it to be returned on
Thursdays. We will occasionally send home
some fun weekend homework too.
Please remember you can
always contact us by email. As
