Special Education Position



Dear Dr. Madrid,

I am extremely interesting in applying for the open Special Education position at your
charter school. As a 2016 graduate of the ASU Mary Lou Fulton Education program I will have over
230 internship hours as well as two full semesters of student teaching. I believe that I am highly
prepared and have received the best education to prepare me for my own classroom. I am
currently teaching in a public High School setting and have enjoyed the variety of experiences my
placement has brought me.

I have been always been drawn to leadership positions and volunteering in my community,
which lead me to join my sorority and take on leadership positions. My favorite position to date
that I have held is being the Human Resources Director. I am confident that the skills I have
learned in this position in particular could help me in a classroom setting. Other skills that I am
excited to bring into a classroom are:
Compassion for others
Willingness and desire to help
Enthusiasm to teach
Positivity for the campus
Fresh ideas
Eagerness to impact lives
4 years as class president and various sorority positions will help me be a club sponsor
