LIBRARY SERVICES AND FACILITIES

Reference/Readers Services

This section is directly concerned with assisting readers to secure information and to use the
resources of the library for study and research purposes.
Circulation Service
This section is responsible for the borrowing and returning of books and other materials in the
library.
Copying Service
For readers who wish to save time in copying portions of a book, magazine or any other
printed matter, a copying machine is available at the library veranda.
Current Awareness Service
A bibliography of newly-acquired books and periodicals is regularly compiled and
distributed to the students, faculty and administrators. This is posted on the library bulletin board.
Interlibrary Loans
Materials which are not available in the IPH library may be procured upon request of the
student/faculty through the interlibrary loan agreement with the Mendiola Consortium libraries and CEAP
libraries. Request forms are available at the Reference Section.
Discussion Rooms
The library provides study rooms where groups of students may study and discuss together.
These rooms are limited only for one hour use and are not to be used for conference/meeting purposes.

New Acquisitions

Newly-acquired processed books are displayed in glass cabinets. They are available for
circulation after two weeks of display.

Library Tours
Library orientation tours are organized for new students and faculty at the beginning of the
academic year. Library tours, handled by the Professional Librarians, give a brief outline of the facilities,
services and resources of the library.
