GED Prep: Help students prepare to take the high school equivalency test by teaching a class or serving as a tutor. Four subjects are ofered through the program: Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts. English Conversaton Circles: Converse with small groups of adults who wish to practce their English conversaton skills in a more casual environment. Computer Classes: Teach adults basic computer and online job seeking skills in a computer lab environment. Youth Literacy Reading Corps: Help students who are behind their peers develop both a love for reading and stronger literacy skills. Work one on one as a Reading Buddy to make reading and learning fun and for kids from age 4 though 2nd grade. Math and Science Camp: Help kids get excited about math and science during a week long summer camp. (Summer Only) Early Learning Maters: Lead parents in a workshop series to help families foster the early literacy skills that children need to succeed in school and later in life. (Formerly called Lee y Seras) Life Through Literacy: Lead young, expectng parents in a health literacy program about prena- tal care, healthy lifestyle choices for families, maternity resources in the community, and the importance of early learning.
