When it comes to health I wouldnt say I that I go out o! my way to "ee# mine $ery good%
I used to &e cra'y a&out eating healthy( e)ercising( and not smo"ing &ut now I dont !ollow any
o! those guidelines% I too" a !ew health sel!*assessments online and all o! them say that I need to
wor" on many things in my li!e to try and li$e a healthy li!estyle% I dont usually watch what I eat
anymore and I rarely e)ercise% When it comes to smo"ing I ha$e #ic"ed u# the ha&it and let it get
a little out o! hand% +hese unhealthy li!estyle choices that I ha$e &een ma"ing need to come to an
end%
I need to im#ro$e many things in the health area o! my li!e( such as, eating right(
e)ercising( and -uitting my aw!ul ha&it o! smo"ing% +o im#ro$e these( I need to start eating !ruit
and $egeta&les as well as cutting out all !ast !ood and high*calorie meals% E)ercising used to &e a
huge #art o! my daily routine &ut since I sto##ed it has &een terri&ly di!!icult to &egin again% I
could !i) this &y getting a gym mem&ershi# and incor#orating gym time into my e$eryday
routine again% .astly( smo"ing is a tough ha&it to &rea"( es#ecially &ecause I ha$e &een at it !or a
!ew years now% I ha$e heard that nicotine gum and other nicotine items ha$e hel#ed hea$y
smo"ers -uit so I should de!initely thin" a&out turning my smo"ing ha&it into a gum*chewing
ha&it instead%
I! I were to add another goal to my main three( I would ha$e to say it is slee#ing and
treating my &ody &etter% I wor" a&out 40 hours each wee" at /tar&uc"s which is cra'y &usy( !ast*
#aced( and tough on your &ody mentally and #hysically% When I get o!! o! wor" a!ter a solid 0
and a hal! hours with at least 4 cra'y rush*hours( I am so mentally and #hysically &urnt out% 1y
mind is mush and my &ody is &arely !unctioning% I lo$e staying &usy all day and wor"ing &ut
sometimes it !eels li"e too much to handle% What I need to wor" on most would &e going home
a!ter wor" and resting my mind and &ody instead o! going to run errands and staying out until
midnight% I used to always try to go to &ed at a decent time &ut now I 2ust !eel li"e Im missing
too much in li!e i! I slee# early% I try to ma"e the most I can out o! each and e$ery day which
actually gets me into trou&le now &ecause when I wa"e u# at 3,40am !or wor"( I am &eyond
e)hausted%
+he im#ortance o! sustaining a healthy li!estyle( in my o#inion( is to ha$e a long and
ha##y li!e% I! one does not care a&out their health and they 2ust dont #ay attention to what
theyre eating and the lac" o! e)ercise theyre #artici#ating in( than they will most li"ely ha$e an
aw!ully short li!e s#an% 1a"ing healthy choices in li!e is not di!!icult when you 2ust set your
mind to it% 5ll you ha$e to do is set some goals and set your mind to those s#eci!ic goals and you
will &e on the road to success% 5nother im#ortant !actor to a healthy li!estyle is &eing genuinely
ha##y with yoursel! and your #lace in li!e% I! you struggle to !ind yoursel! ha##y( chances are
that your health #lays a huge #art in that% When you care a&out ta"ing care o! your &ody( you are
much more li"ely to care a&out yoursel! and what youre doing with your li!e% /te#s to &eing
ha##y with yoursel! and getting healthy are as sim#le as 2ust getting the #ro#er rest needed(
es#ecially i! wor"ing long hours or &eing out and a&out !or long #eriods o! time% 6ur &odies need
to regain strength through rest% We all "now how terri&le it is try to get through a day e)hausted
and 2ust dragging yoursel! along( es#ecially a long wor"day% +here!ore( rest o! the mind and
&ody is insanely im#ortant in a healthy li!e%
1any #eo#le ha$e their own de!inition o! a 7healthy li!estyle8 &ut as !or me( I dont thin"
it is de!ined in one way% 9oogles de!inition is, 7In general, most would agree that a healthy
person doesn't smoke, is at a healthy weight, eats a balanced healthy diet, thinks positively, feels
relaxed, exercises regularly, has good relationships, and benefits from a good life balance. This
is a standard definition in most peoples minds. To me, it is quite accurate but not every healthy
person follows it. I used to be very healthy, or at least that is what I considered myself to be... I
could say that and I didnt live by any definition. Health in a way, is what it means to you as an
individual and if you are happy and feel good about yourself and your everyday life. I am happy
with my life and who I am inside and out but that doesnt make me a healthy person because I
know that Im not.

more attention than youd thin" and most #eo#le neglect that !act% +o li$e a 7healthy li!estyle8
you should try to incor#orate good eating ha&its( cutting &ad ha&its( and most im#ortantly gi$ing
your &ody to #ro#er rest that it needs to !unction e!!ecti$ely and ha##ily each day &ut you dont
need to li$e u# to someones e)act de!inition o! 7healthy8 &ecause youll most li"ely ne$er &e
ha##y doing that% E$eryone that li$es &y #ure rules and de!initions are instantly unha##y or
#unished &y themsel$es when they do something outside o! their standards% +hat( to me( is
almost un!air to do to yoursel!% +o sum it all u#( &eing healthy is &eing ha##y and when you can
!eel your mind and &ody &eing ha##y( rested( well*"e#t( and u#&eat( you "now that you are your
own de!inition o! healthy% Which( hey( arent we all 2ust loo"ing to oursel$es !or a##ro$al at the
