I am writing to complain about the service that I received at
your hotel last weekend. My friend and I had decided to take advantage of the special offer advertised in the local newspaper. Unfortunately, this advertisement was misleading in several ways. First of all, the advertisement claimed that all weekend guests at the hotel would have free access to the swimming pool. However, we were told that we could use it from 10 pm until midnight only. This was very disappointing as we both love swimming. The advertisement also promised that we could be served a full breakfast. You can therefore imagine our disappointment when we were served a cup of coffee and croissant. To make matters worse, the buffet lunch was served between 12 pm and 2 pm. We arrived at 1 pm and discovered that most of the food had already been eaten. Our weekend was ruined and I feel that your hotel should offer us some compensation. Yours faithfully, Juan dela Cruz
