Culture Projects - Spanish IV

Each presentation must have the following components:

Visual presentation
Game (tied to the theme AND to a grammar or vocab
point from class)
Quiz (for the class)
Food (tied to the theme where possible or tell us a
story about the foods cultural relevance)

Group members will rotate between the requirements. If you did the visual presentation for
your first presentation, you will do the game for the second. You work your way down the list
and then back up so you will not have to do the two categories, one after the other, that
necessitate the most talking.

Each group member is required to speak for FIVE minutes. (NO READING. If you read your
grade starts at a B).

Each group member is also required to turn in a written portion. It MUST be a minimum of 50
words, in Spanish, describing what you did and what you learned. The visual presentation may
have words on it. If it does, it counts as the written part as well as being used to speak from.

All grades are INDIVIDUAL

These are meant to be mini research projects to help familiarize you with the vast, Spanish-
speaking world out there. We will be rotating themes throughout the year. Your groups will
stay the same all semester but your country and theme will change.

You will receive a written grade (25 points) and a speaking grade (50 points) for this project.

Remember, you will get a better grade on these if you TRY. Its NOT about being perfect, its
about trying to use what youre learning in a way that makes it familiar and accessible to you
and to your classmates. Just do YOUR best and try not to worry about memorizing or being
judged harshly. Effort, on projects like this one, ALWAYS counts for more than you realize.

Have fun!!!!!
