This collection gives parents an easy way to show their appreciation for the many subject and high school teachers and staff members who faithfully work for the benefit of AWS students and parents alike. What's that? You're long on appreciation but short on funds? Well, the beauty of the Gifting system is that it can make small monetary gifts grow into substantial ones. For example, if just half of our families
give $5 each to the Full-Time Administrative Staff Group, each person in that group will receive about $70. Or, if half of the High School families give just $2 each to a particular subject teacher, that teacher will receive nearly $100.
To participate, all you need to do is:
1. Print and fill out the attached Subject Teacher & Staff Gifting form.
2. Calculate your total gift.
3. Write one check, payable to AWS, with "Year End 2012 Gift" in the Memo.
4. Take your form and check to the Main Office by the deadline (Wed. May 30th @ 9AM).
The Gifting form lets you:
• Designate amounts to be shared by the members of three groups: Full-Time Administrative Staff, Part-Time Support Staff, and Spring Coaching Staff
• Designate specific amounts to go to individual Subject Teachers, and/or
• Designate a "General Gift" that will be distributed where needed, allowing us to make sure that everyone gets something
All Gifting forms and checks must be turned in by Next WEDNESDAY, MAY 30th at 9:00 A.M.
We then will tally the amounts and, with the indispensable help of our Business Office, present one check from the AWS community to each person before the last day of school.
Important notes:
• The Gifting form does not include Kindergarten and Grades' Class Teachers and Assistants, who traditionally are honored with gifts from their respective classes.
• The by-laws of the school do not permit parents to give money directly to teachers.
• ALL GIFTS WILL BE ANONYMOUS AND CONFIDENTIAL.
• PARTICIPATION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY!
